Below are some activities for the children to do during our closure on Wednesday 15th January 2025.
Maths – Be an angle detective!
Can you find any right angles at home? Have you got objects at home which have angles smaller or larger than a right angle? Make a list of the things you have found. If you have a ruler and paper at home you can draw some different squares and rectangles. Measure the sides and count how many right angles you find.
English
Using one of the three fairy tales we have looked at, make a plan for an alternative fairy tale like Jack and the Baked Beanstalk. You need to keep your main character the same but you can change the setting, personalities and supporting characters.
Draw your plan as a story map or comic strip.
Science
We have started to learn about food waste. Have a look at the slides and create a poster to persuade others not to waste food.
Computing
Use Purple Mash to explore the Coding challenges on Free Code Chimp.
Times Tables
Use TTRS to practise your times tables.
Your log in details for both Purple Mash and Times Tables Rock Stars should be in your reading records.
Don’t forget if you are unable to access these activities, you can always spend time reading your books, practising your spellings for this week or working on your project homework
