Safeguarding
Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone's responsibility. No single practitioner can have a full picture of a child's needs, so everyone who comes into contact with them has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action (Keeping Children Safe in Education 2024)
Mrs Massheder is the Headteacher and the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). She joined the school in 2015 and has many years of teaching and leadership experience.
Mrs Williams-Finch is the Deputy Headteacher, SENCo and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). She joined the school in 2010 and brings valuable teaching and SEN experience.
Mr Lowe is the Senior Leader for Upper Key Stage 2 and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). He joined the school in 2009 and has a vast knowledge of Cross in Hand CEP.
Miss Walter is the Senior Leader for Lower Key Stage 2 and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). She joined the school in 2021 and brings experience from different schools.
Miss Read is the Senior Leader for Early Years and Key Stage 1 and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL). She joined the school in 2020 and has a good overview of two key stages.
Mrs Powell is our Safeguarding Governor. She is a Safeguarding Detective for Sussex Police with over 15 years' service. Her work involves supporting other agencies such as schools and social services.
