‘With faith in our future, we learn hand in hand.’

Cross in Hand is a very happy and welcoming school with a team of staff that put their heart and soul into nurturing and inspiring the children. We strive to provide the best learning experience possible for all of our children. We hope this website allows you to begin to experience the enjoyment of learning within our school and the team ethos that surrounds it. Whilst we are immensely proud of our school, we still continually look for ways to improve and take Cross in Hand forwards. As we work together as a community, we know there is no limit to what we can all achieve.

Here is a menu of ideas for activities that you can do during the Easter holiday. Don't forget to keep on sending in your pictures of all that you are getting up to at home!

Story Time with...

As listening to stories is highly valued at Cross in Hand, we want this to continue even while school is closed. However, as it is now the Easter holiday, the children are taking over the reading!

So children, get a hot cup of milk, your favourite teddy and snuggle up ready to listen...

Are you up for another Friday Challenge?

This week Miss Chapman is setting you the challenge of doing Speed Bounces! Can you beat her score of 55 in 20 seconds? Find a sock, video your best attempt and send them to us in the usual ways - children and parents!

Ideas for Home

Looking for something different to do this week? Here are a couple of ideas of things that you can make at home...

A Message for Our Children...

To all of our children at Cross in Hand...here is a special message from the teachers! Remember to keep using your class' blog on Purple Mash to stay in touch with your friends and teachers. Also, keep sending in pictures and videos of all that you have been getting up to at home - we love seeing all of them. Stay safe and we'll see you all soon!

Prayer for the Week

God, thank you that you are my shepherd and because of you, I always have more than enough. Fill my heart with your peace. You are the one who restores and revives my life. Lead me in your footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to your name. Even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely for you are near. So why would I fear the future? For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life. Amen.

Proud to be Cross in Hand

We are so proud of the Ofsted report that we have just received in which we have been graded as being 'Good' with the potential to soon be 'Outstanding'...

During our previous inspection, we were graded as a ‘Good’ school and, as our results have been good since then, we had a one day inspection. If the one day inspection finds that you are still good, Ofsted leave it at that. However, if they think that you have improved, and that the school might actually be ‘Outstanding’ now, they will come back within a year to carry out a deeper, two-day inspection where they look even more closely at the school. We are thoroughly pleased that the inspector has decided we have lots of outstanding qualities and, therefore, we will be having a two-day inspection at Cross in Hand within the next year. Fantastic!
